About Flavorful Future Scholarship

The Flavor Future Scholarship is sponsored by the Sparkling Ice brand. The scholarship awards five eligible high school students $5000 to help further their studies. However, only residents of the United States are allowed to participate in the scholarship.

The Flavor Future Scholarship is founded by funded by Talking Rain Beverage Company. The Company was founded in 1987 in Seattle, Washington. Moreover, they are well-known to create and promote brands using innovative ingredients and ideas. Talking Rain has been committed to giving back to the community and partnering with cause-related organizations since it started in 1987 – supporting hundreds of nonprofits across the country.

Additionally, Talking Rain Beverage Company’s most common product is the Sparkling Ice beverage, and the current retail price is $1.19–$1.29. The Sparkling Ice beverage is made with Zero sugar and combined with real fruit flavor, vitamins and antioxidants to offer great tasting and a lightly carbonated beverage.

It is available in sixteen fruit flavors: Black Raspberry, Orange Mango, Pink Grapefruit, Kiwi Strawberry, Coconut Pineapple, Pomegranate Blueberry, Peach Nectarine, Lemon Lime, Crisp Apple, Classic Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Cherry Limeade, Strawberry Watermelon, Black Cherry, Grape Raspberry and new in 2018, Ginger Lime.


Eligibility and requirements

Below are the criteria you need to qualify for the Flavorful Future Scholarship.

  • You must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
  • You must be a high school senior who will graduate between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024, is required.
  • Seniors in high school or who were homeschooled must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale before they can apply for the Flavorful Future Scholarship.
  • You must enroll in a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade, or vocational school as a freshman or first-year student for the Fall of 2021, whether part-time or full-time. The school must be an approved American university that is listed on the U.S. Department of Education’s official website.
  • Must not be a family member or dependent child of a Talking Rain employee or any of its retail clients.

How to apply for Flavorful Future Scholarship

Moreover, the application period runs from September 15, 2022, to February 15, 2023. Selected recipients were notified in early to mid-May 2023.
