Winchester Foundation Scholarship Application procedure

High School Students

Complete questions 1-9 and 16 of the WHITE FORM (Aid Application). If you filed a Form 1040, attach a copy; also attach copies of any W-2 Forms that you have received. Fill out your section of the YELLOW FORM (Report by Institution Student Will Attend) as soon as you are certain of the school you’ll attend. Request that the YELLOW FORM be returned to the Chairperson by the due date by rushing it to the aid officer at that school (unless you’ve got a “denial letter”). We need your YELLOW FORM before we can examine your help application, thus the sooner this happens, the better. You have to ensure that this YELLOW FORM is returned to us by your elected college.

College Students

Fill out sections 1 through 9 and question 16 on the WHITE FORM (Aid Application), and include originals or copies of your tax return and W-2 forms. If your parents are separated or divorced, give them the WHITE FORM early so they have time to complete it and send it to the appropriate party.
Order an official transcript as soon as the entire year’s grades are available, and ask your registrar to send it immediately to the Chairperson so that it arrives no later than June 30. You must ensure that we receive this transcript by the deadline.
Send the aid officer at the institution you intend to attend in the upcoming academic year your completed portion of the YELLOW FORM (Report by Institution Student Will Attend). By no later than June 30, the YELLOW FORM must be submitted, and you must make sure that this requirement is followed.
Finally, the Committee will notify you of its decision by August 31.
